Pokémon GO: discontinued support for the iPhone 5 and some iPad models is expected

You will probably be shattered by the news, but it’ll be good if you sink it all in now rather than drag it around and risk causing unnecessary stress and anxiety! The update actually comes from Niantic, and as you certainly know, they are the guys working on Pokémon GO. Despite being a team of professionals and having done justice to millions of players across the globe, it seems that they have now disregarded a good portion of their market!

I personally did not see it coming that soon and the fact that I will not be able to play my favourite game is a real pain! Pokémon GO will no longer be playable on a range of iOS smartphones and tablets by the 28th of February. The reason is none other than the absence of support for Apple latest operating system on older devices. The advent of iOS 11 is certainly a blessing for some, but many will soon be deprived of their daily monster-catching sessions!

The concerned users are those owing one of the following: iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPad (3rd Generation), iPad (4th Generation), iPad mini (1st Generation), and iPad 2. In its announcement, Niantic is urging fans to move to newer versions of these smartphones and tablets to be able to use their present Pokémon GO account. However, we all know that this is easier said than done!

Apple tech is getting more and more expensive and dropping support on earlier version of their OS is surely not going to be appreciated by everyone. This announcement is certainly going to make a buzz; it will hence be wise to keep an eye on this page for the latest updates coming from both Niantic and Apple. Comment below for your thoughts and keep playing!

Leap Day

If there is a developer that you can count on to provide you with mobile entertainment like no other, it will certainly have to be Nitrome! The latter earlier delivered Leap Day and this title has proved to be a pretty interesting pastime. However, things have now got better as version 1.3.8 is available for iOS users. This expansion adds several cool perks to the app and it will be wise to update as soon as possible!

Do note that this fast-paced action platformer is presently free-to-play on both the App Store and Google Play and it actually provides gamers with a different level to play every single day! That’s right, users can enjoy a brand new experience each time they decide to use the application, and you will have to admit that this is a pretty unique feature for a freemium mobile game!

To boot, Leap Day now comes with iCloud support and this basically means that players will be able to save their progress and continue on any other device on which they have the title installed. On the other hand, it will also be possible to unlock new and colourful characters. Rockman, Giant toad, Turret knight and many more are to be discovered!

The challenge will be real as you play one and it will be all thanks to traps and monsters that will be seen on the way up! These will take the form of spikes, huge creatures, wrecking balls, etc. However, things are likely to go well with the right skills and speed. You might want to watch the trailer for a better view of what to expect!
