Platformer thrills with Angel Dorantes’ Kraino on mobile

With the years, we did notice drastic improvements in the quality of mobile games that are being released. However, we also observed that developers from a particular genre seem to enjoy going back in time every now and then! You must have guessed it, it’s the platform gaming genre and we will often find the retro style back within titles launched on the App Store and Google Play.

One of these latest releases is an app coming from Angel Dorantes! It’s a platformer called Kraino and its looks will certainly please players who are into retro thrills on the go. To give the title an edge on existing ones, the developers ensured that it came with a good dose of action. Its pixelated graphics and sounds are also contributing to give this app its glow.

Kraino

It will indeed be pretty hard to believe that Kraino is free-to-play! However, simply going through the basics should be enough for an overview of the controls, graphics and all other well-polished in-app features. When it comes to the gameplay, it’s meant to give users an adrenaline rush. Hordes of monsters, deadly obstacles and really hard bosses will all have to be encountered!

Do note that Kraino is a 9+ rated title and according to the developer, “infrequent/mild cartoon or fantasy violence” can all be expected. It looks like a hit to me, try it out on your smartphone or tablet soon and once tested, remember to come back to share your thoughts in the comment section.

Pokémon GO: discontinued support for the iPhone 5 and some iPad models is expected

You will probably be shattered by the news, but it’ll be good if you sink it all in now rather than drag it around and risk causing unnecessary stress and anxiety! The update actually comes from Niantic, and as you certainly know, they are the guys working on Pokémon GO. Despite being a team of professionals and having done justice to millions of players across the globe, it seems that they have now disregarded a good portion of their market!

I personally did not see it coming that soon and the fact that I will not be able to play my favourite game is a real pain! Pokémon GO will no longer be playable on a range of iOS smartphones and tablets by the 28th of February. The reason is none other than the absence of support for Apple latest operating system on older devices. The advent of iOS 11 is certainly a blessing for some, but many will soon be deprived of their daily monster-catching sessions!

Pokémon GO

The concerned users are those owing one of the following: iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPad (3rd Generation), iPad (4th Generation), iPad mini (1st Generation), and iPad 2. In its announcement, Niantic is urging fans to move to newer versions of these smartphones and tablets to be able to use their present Pokémon GO account. However, we all know that this is easier said than done!

Apple tech is getting more and more expensive and dropping support on earlier version of their OS is surely not going to be appreciated by everyone. This announcement is certainly going to make a buzz; it will hence be wise to keep an eye on this page for the latest updates coming from both Niantic and Apple. Comment below for your thoughts and keep playing!
