You will probably be shattered by the news, but it’ll be good if you sink it all in now rather than drag it around and risk causing unnecessary stress and anxiety! The update actually comes from Niantic, and as you certainly know, they are the guys working on Pokémon GO. Despite being a team of professionals and having done justice to millions of players across the globe, it seems that they have now disregarded a good portion of their market!
I personally did not see it coming that soon and the fact that I will not be able to play my favourite game is a real pain! Pokémon GO will no longer be playable on a range of iOS smartphones and tablets by the 28th of February. The reason is none other than the absence of support for Apple latest operating system on older devices. The advent of iOS 11 is certainly a blessing for some, but many will soon be deprived of their daily monster-catching sessions!

The concerned users are those owing one of the following: iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPad (3rd Generation), iPad (4th Generation), iPad mini (1st Generation), and iPad 2. In its announcement, Niantic is urging fans to move to newer versions of these smartphones and tablets to be able to use their present Pokémon GO account. However, we all know that this is easier said than done!
Apple tech is getting more and more expensive and dropping support on earlier version of their OS is surely not going to be appreciated by everyone. This announcement is certainly going to make a buzz; it will hence be wise to keep an eye on this page for the latest updates coming from both Niantic and Apple.
